How to play Bobble Blaster
Game guide
Bobble Blaster is a 3D space racer. Bobble flies a laser ship across the galaxies, past planets, moons and a black hole. Space is full of asteroids, old satellites, space mines and UFOs, and the farther you fly, the faster it goes.
The goal
Fly as far as you can without crashing. Your score is the distance you fly plus points for everything you blast, times your score multiplier. Grab the stars along the way to spend in the hangar.
How to play
You can fly left, center or right, and low, middle or high. That makes nine spots to be in. Your lasers fire by themselves, straight ahead from wherever you are.
- Asteroids break when your lasers hit them. Small ones pop in one shot, bigger ones take two.
- Giant asteroids fill four spots or a whole lane. They take lots of shots, so it's often faster to fly around them.
- Satellites and space mines can be shot too.
- UFOs take three hits and drop a shower of stars when they go down.
- Comets fly straight at you. Shoot them or get out of the way.
- Red laser fences fill a whole row or a whole lane. Lasers can't break them, so fly over, under or around.
- Space walls have one, two or three open holes with glowing frames. Lasers can't break them either, so line up with a hole.
- If you clip the side of something while moving, you bounce back. Do it twice in a row and you crash.
- After a crash you can spend stars to repair your ship and keep your score going.
Controls
| Left / right arrows, A / D, or swipe left / right | Fly to the next lane |
|---|---|
| Up arrow, W, Space, or swipe up | Fly up a row |
| Down arrow, S, or swipe down | Dive down a row |
| P or Esc | Pause |
On a phone you can keep your finger down and swipe around a corner, like up and then left, to move two spots in one go.
Power-ups
- Star Magnet: pulls nearby stars to you.
- Warp Drive: zoom ahead at top speed, smash through anything, and follow a trail of stars.
- Mega Lasers: big, fast lasers that do double damage.
- Force Shield: saves you from one crash.
Upgrade each power-up in the hangar to make it last longer. Keep an eye out for rare white super stars, which are worth 10 stars each.
Missions and the multiplier
You always have three missions, like "Blast 25 asteroids in one flight". Each finished mission pays stars. Finish all three and your score multiplier goes up by one, so every flight after that scores more.
Ships
You start in the Bubble Rocket. Spend stars in the hangar to unlock the Star Saucer, the Comet Jet, the Moon Bug, the Nebula Ray and the Galaxy Cruiser. Each ship fires its own color of laser. Tap a ship to see it before you buy.
Galaxies
Space changes every 1,000 m. You start in the Milky Way, then fly through the Pink Nebula, the Ice Ring Galaxy, the Lava Cluster and the Black Hole Rim, each with its own planets.
Tips
- Watch two or three rows ahead, not just the next one. Fences and walls can't be shot, so plan for them early.
- Staying in a lane full of asteroids is fine: your lasers clear the way. Big asteroids are slow to break, so dodge those.
- The middle spot is the safest place to wait, because you can reach any other spot in two moves.
- Your best score is saved, and top scores go on the shared leaderboard.
Bobble Blaster is free to play in your browser on a computer, tablet or phone, with no download or sign-up. Your stars, ships and best score are saved on your device.
