How to play Backyard Cornhole
Game guide
Backyard Cornhole is a 3D version of the classic bean bag toss. You throw bags at a regulation board 27 feet away, playing against the computer or a friend on the same device.
The goal
Be the first player to reach 21 points. Each round both players throw four bags, and the scores cancel out so only the difference counts.
How to play
- Choose where to play: Backyard, Campground or Parking lot.
- Choose a computer skill level (Beginner, Intermediate or Expert), or pick 2 players to pass and play.
- Drag down to pull back. A farther pull makes a harder toss.
- Slide sideways to aim, slingshot style. Hold still to tighten the green zone, then release to throw.
- After four bags each, the round is scored. A bag in the hole is worth 3 and a bag on the board is worth 1.

| Drag sideways | Aim |
| Release | Throw the bag |
Tips
- Because of cancellation scoring, if you score 4 and your opponent scores 3, only you get 1 point that round.
- Holding still before you release makes your throw more accurate.
- A bag resting on the board can block the hole, or it can be knocked in by a later throw.
- Your win and loss record against each computer level is saved on your device.
Backyard Cornhole is free to play in your browser on a computer, tablet or phone, with no download or sign-up. Your progress and best scores are saved on your device.
