How to play Cliff Glider Lab
Game guide
Cliff Glider Lab is a design-and-fly game. You build your own glider, adjusting the wings, tail and balance, then launch it off a cliff and see how far it goes.
The goal
Design a glider that flies as far as possible, hit bonus targets along the way, and beat your best score.
How to play
- Pick a layout. A main wing up front with a tail at the back is the forgiving all-rounder.
- Adjust the wings: longer wings cut drag, more curve adds lift at slow speed, and dihedral (wings tilted up) helps it stay level.
- Set the balance. Moving the weight forward makes it stable but faster.
- Choose the launch speed and angle, then launch off the cliff.
- Steer in the air with the arrow buttons, then read the flight report and tweak your design.
Controls
| Sliders and buttons | Design the glider |
|---|---|
| Launch | Throw it off the cliff |
| Arrow buttons or keys | Steer in flight |
Tips
- If a gust rolls it over, add dihedral or mount the wing higher.
- If it turns around and lands where it started, ease off the wingtip weight or rudder trim.
- If it drops back onto the cliff top, launch faster or at a flatter angle.
- Too fast a launch can snap the wings. Each launch has its own headwind or tailwind, plus gusts.
Cliff Glider Lab is free to play in your browser on a computer, tablet or phone, with no download or sign-up. Your progress and best scores are saved on your device.
