How to play Number Run
Game guide
Number Run is a math runner. You race down a track wearing a number on your bib, and every row of gates changes that number with +, -, × or ÷.
The goal
Grow your number big enough to break each finish tape. Every seventh row is a finish tape, and you must arrive with at least the number shown on it.
How to play
- Press Start running.
- Look at the gates in the next row. Each lane has a different math operation.
- Switch lanes to run through the gate you want.
- Plus and times make your number grow, minus and divide make it shrink.
- Break each finish tape to keep running and go as far as you can.

Tips
- Times is usually better than plus once your number is bigger, but plus is often better when your number is very small.
- Before you pick, work out what each gate would make your number. The biggest-looking gate is not always the best one.
- Look ahead at the number on the next finish tape so you know how much you need.
- Your peak number and distance are saved as your best.
Number Run is free to play in your browser on a computer, tablet or phone, with no download or sign-up. Your progress and best scores are saved on your device.
