How to play Wild Rails
Game guide
Wild Rails is a roller coaster builder. Shape your own track with drops, hills and loops, add boosters, then press Ride and watch the cart scream along it. Build it, ride it, and tweak it until the riders love it.
The goal
Get the cart from the START platform to the STATION on each of the 5 levels, from Kiddie Hill to the Mega Coaster. Making it earns 1 star. A big enough thrill score earns 2 stars, and a huge thrill with no ride stronger than 6 G earns all 3. The leaderboard adds up your best thrill score from every level.
How to play
- Pick a level from the buttons at the top. Each one starts with a simple starter track.
- With the Point tool, tap the sky or the rail to add a point, and drag points to bend the track into hills and dips.
- Pick a piece (Drop, Hill, Big hill, Dip, Bunny hops, Wave, Loop or Big loop) and tap the scene to stamp it in, then drag its points to fit.
- Use Booster to add a blue speed push on the rail, and Erase to remove a point or booster.
- The line under the track tells you what a test run will do before you ride. Press Ride! to watch it and get your stars.
Scoring thrill
- Top speed, the biggest drop and airtime all add thrill.
- Each loop is worth a lot, and every gold ring the cart goes through is +40.
- Strong but safe forces add a little more. Going over 6 G costs thrill and blocks the third star.
- If the cart runs out of speed it gets towed home, which only earns 1 star.

Tips
- A tall first drop gives the cart its speed. Start loops after a big drop so the cart makes it over the top.
- Sharp crests can throw riders off the rails. Round them off or make them lower.
- Turn on G-force colours to find red spots, then widen those curves.
- On Uphill Finish, put a Booster at the foot of the last climb.
- Your stars and best thrill scores are saved on your device.
